Growing up in a musical family was one of the blessings given during his youth. He was able to dive into music at a young age while participating in church youth choir. Andy realized he was destined to be a musician as he continued singing throughout middle and high school. During high school, Andy received scholarship to attend the Midwestern State University-School of Music.
He continued his undergraduate work at Texas State University where he studied under the direction of Dr. John Paul Johnson, Carey Michaels and Dr. Joey Martin. During his studies at Texas State University, Andy worked as a vocalist and praise leader at St. Marks Episcopal Church and Bracken United Methodist Church. Andy was also able to work as an assistant music director for the Wimberley Children's Theatre. His involvement as a professional and collegiate musician gave him the opportunity to perform such works as Handel’s Messiah, Rutter’s Requiem as well as perform for the Texas Music Educator’s Association Convention and American Choral Director’s Association National Convention..
Over the years Andy has served in many capacities such as clinician and assistant director for the Encore Children’s Chorus, as well as served as Entertainment Director for Boerne’s Dickens on Main Festival. Aside from his full studio, Andy is often contracted and booked to play around the hill country and surrounding areas for private and corporate events. He currently works as the booking manager for the Singing Water Vineyards and has served as the private voice coach for the Holiday Entertainers for Sea World of Texas. In addition, he has been a private voice coach for a number of contestants and finalists on THE VOICE, AMERICAN IDOL as well as the Miss America Pageant, including Miss San Antonio 2015, 2017- Emma Faye Rudkin.
